Samantha Ladwig is a librarian and book critic based on a small island in the Salish Sea.
Her writing has been published by The Cut, Literary Hub, The Rumpus (forthcoming), Vulture, Real Simple, Bustle, and Vice, among many others. She is a longtime book critic for BUST magazine. A former bookstore owner, she is currently at work on a novel, which has received support from Tin House and Centrum.
Over the years, her work has provided her opportunities to attend the Academy Awards, Telluride Film Festival, AFI Fest, and the Seattle International Film Festival. She holds an MA in Archives and Records Management from Western Washington University and previously worked as a film cataloger at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.
