Samantha Ladwig is a librarian, essayist, and book critic based on a small island in the Salish Sea.

Her work has been published by The Cut, Literary Hub, The Rumpus, Vulture, Real Simple, Bustle, BUST, and Vice, among many others. She holds an MA in Archives and Records Management from Western Washington University and previously worked as a film cataloger at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences​. She is currently at work on a memoir, which has received support from Tin House and Centrum.
