Samantha Ladwig is a librarian, essayist, and book critic based on a small island in the Salish Sea.

Her work has been published by The Cut, Literary Hub, The Rumpus, Vulture, Real Simple, Bustle, and Vice, among many others. She is a longtime book critic for BUST. With an MA in Archives and Records Management from Western Washington University, she previously worked as a film cataloger at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences​ and now works as a rural county public librarian. She is currently at work on a memoir, which has received support from Tin House and Centrum.
